European Medical Group delivers 8 million protective masks to Europe to help fight Covid-19

European Medical Group (EMG) and Group company LSEZ Lauma Fabrics SIA organized delivery carrying a record-large cargo of 3PLY surgical masks and FFP2 respirators arrived at Riga Airport on April 16, delivering a total of 4 million protective masks and 18,000 respirators. The flight was managed by Diamond Sky.

This was already the second PPE cargo delivered by EMG, mainly for Latvia and Estonia. The first cargo was transported on April 2 via Tallinn Airport and another delivery of medical protective wear came in just this week.

„With the fourth delivery of PPE products that is expected to arrive shortly, EMG and Lauma Fabrics have delivered 8 million masks  – 6 million medical masks and 2 million respirators to Europe in just under one month,“ commented European Medical Group COO Mr. Kristjan Täht.

„We are extremely honored for being entrusted to help Estonia, Latvia, Italy, France, Germany, Austria and the UK fight the Covid-19 crisis in Europe,“ added Mr. Täht.

„Given the heavy reliance of the Baltic region and the entire Europe on Chinese PPE deliveries, we are undertaking necessary steps in order to be able to start manufacturing surgical masks and respirators in our own Group factories,“ commented further Mr. Täht.
